Liberatore

I was so excited to do this session. With how beautiful this family is, can you blame me? I was even happier when I fired the first shot and realized the camera loved them. They were such a fun-loving, silly bunch - my favorite! There was as much laughter behind the lens as in front of it. And even though we forgot about the signature Liberatore jumping shot, I think we got some other good ones. Good luck with Baby Mario! I'm sure
(s)he'll be jumping in no time. :)

PS. In my next life, I'd like to put my order in for Emily's long legs. Just sayin'.

Jonette has seen me in a light very few have. I will just leave it at that as what happens in Bangkok stays in Bangkok. :) Inside jokes aside, I was able to see Jonette and her family and photograph them on this perfect Singapore Saturday. I haven't really interacted with her when she is with her kids, but what I saw that day is that she is an incredible mother! It's always a treat to get to know people better just by seeing their interactions through the lens.

She wanted something Asian and I think the Chinese Garden was a perfect location. I still can't get over this family's eyes! Gorgeous. And those clothes remind me, in my boy-ruled home, why I can never look at girl's clothes in the store. So cute!

Lamphere

I love it when a family isn't afraid of color. These outfits were great! Sometimes it's hard to get interesting shapes without layering in hot, hot Singapore, but this family was ready to rock the shot. It's fun to see how a session unfolds. By the end, we definitely had some model-esque poses going. I think these girls get it from their momma. Nicole, you've got killer angles. Makes my job easy! :)

Jessie is the most thoughtful person I know. She is always thinking of others and going out of her way to make you feel special. You're lucky if you know Jessie. She the type of friend that you'll want to keep for a lifetime. Her boys are about the same age as my boys, so it's fun to get together with them. Dave is a crack up. I'm always amused with his quick and subtle wit.

Shooting at Chijmes was a new adventure! It's a convent that's been renovated into shops and restaurants. I love the architecture there. Wet and raining that day, it limited us to a few places under cover, but we managed to get these shots. All you really need are smiles and maybe some fruit snacks! :)

McKeown

Photography allows me to get to know people by seeing them in a way that would be hard to imitate in life. I loved photographing this session and enjoyed seeing my friend Sarah with her family.

I loved that she wanted to get a shot of her youngest son's giri-giris (cowlicks).
I loved her second-grader's incredible smile. Seriously, how many kids can pull off puka teeth like that?
{I love that we're both from Hawaii and can use words like giri-giri and puka teeth. And that we both watched the Power Hour.}
I loved watching her cute daughter trying to smile naturally.
I loved seeing what a striking couple Sarah and Morgan are together.
I loved photographing in the evening and adjusting to the gorgeous light.

Fun session. Thanks McKeowns.
